Seals
The seal says one thing: this show scored the published division tables from the published wording, locked scores before any discussion, published its rules before entries opened, applied the health limits, and gave every athlete their own per-element scoresheet. It is free to display, needs no permission and costs nothing. Nobody signs anything, and the Council does not verify the claim: what makes it checkable is the rules you published.
For a show scoring the published tables with scores locked before discussion. How you run the show is yours: eligibility, classes, stage, tanning, attire, testing and the running order are not conditions of the seal and the Council publishes no view on any of them. Totals from any two shows compare directly only where both ran the same division table.
Downloading, embedding or displaying a seal accepts the Seal Usage License: the seals are provided as is, and displaying one releases the Council and its directors from claims arising out of that use.
Using them
The seal means every element the division carries is scored from the published band wording, unmodified, apart from weights declared within the published allowance, and that the health limits in Section 1.2 were published and applied. A show that reworded a band has left the Standard and should say what it used instead, which is a perfectly respectable thing to publish.
A seal that links to nothing is decoration. Point it at the page where your rules, your division tables and any declared weights are published, so a reader can check the claim in one click.
Scale it, place it anywhere, use the light or dark version. Do not recolor it, redraw it, or set it in another typeface, because the point of a seal is that it looks the same everywhere.
There is no fee, no application, no sanction and no register. The Council does not inspect shows or audit results. Your published rules and your published results are the proof, which is why the seal is only worth anything when both are public.
The claim is set out in full in Conformance, at the front of the Standard. What the Council recommends for everything the seal does not cover is in the. The terms for using the seals are the Seal Usage License.
